Newspaper Articles: Home

Hekman has access to local, national, and international newspapers through physical copies, internet databases, and microfilm.

Locating Specific Newspaper Titles

Search for newspaper holdings in the Library Catalog by selecting Advanced Search, highlighting "Serial" in the Bib Level selection area, and then keying in the title of the paper. Use this to see which newspapers we collect rather than searching for individual articles.

Search for newspaper holdings in WorldCat by checking the "Serial Publications" box and then searching by Title.  Alternatively, you can select from the pull-down menu "Material type" and type "newspaper" in the search box. To refine, you may want to select from the pull-down menu "Geographic Coverage" and type in the state or region where the paper is published. This will eliminate a lot of records and quickly help you find the exact one you want. Again, this catalog is good for finding newspaper titles--not individual articles.
