Searching Hekman's Catalog for Children's and YA Books

Search the library's catalog to find out what children's books we have at Hekman.

  • If you are looking for a specific book, enter the title, and select Title from the pull-down menu.
  • If you are looking for books about an author, enter the author's name (Last Name, First Name), and choose Subject from the pull-down menu.
  • If you are looking for books by an author, enter the name and instead choose Author as the search option.

Other tips for searching for Children's and YA books:

  • Try limiting your search to the Curriculum Collection (a collection for Calvin Education students and faculty)
  • Add the keyword "juvenile" to your search (especially helpful if trying to find a non-fiction book aimed at children)
  • Try limiting your audience in the catalog's Advanced Search screen
